Stainless Performance Exhausts
Ideal for towing and touring, Torqit Performance Exhausts are specifically designed to create a deep note and improve vehicle performance.
The Torqit Performance Exhaust systems have been manufactured to maximise power output and reduce exhaust gas temperatures (EGT). They are one of the thickest mandrel bent systems available in Australia – the thickness combined with 304 grade stainless steel produces a deep note and guarantees extreme strength.
The exceptional quality of all Torqit exhaust systems is highlighted by our laser cut, stainless steel flanges which are welded internally and externally (no slip joints), heavy duty bracketry and high flow diesel specific cat convertors. The design of each individual system focuses on optimising power and torque which helps your vehicle to breathe better and last longer
You could be wanting to increase the power from your exhaust and receive a deep note. Alternatively, you may be looking to strengthen your touring and towing abilities. With Torqit, you can increase power and torque from your exhaust, while also reducing EGTs. What’s more, the high quality steel ensures extreme strength even in the toughest terrains.
This means you won’t need a hoist to complete fitment. Rather, you have the option to fit the exhaust yourself or organise it to be fitted through your local stockist. Installation can take anywhere from 60 minutes to 3 hours. Fitment time depends on the exhaust system, if you have a hoist available and your experience with the appropriate tools.

Any 4WD enthusiast dreads the moment when they realise they lack the power to tackle the ultimate obstacle or wish they had just that bit more grunt to blitz through challenging areas. Upgrading engine parts and computer chips can produce dramatic effects and are often performed along with upgraded 4WD exhaust systems in Australia. However, those elements can also be an expensive, complex way to proceed if you’re just hankering for a few more horses at your disposal now and then.
There are many good reasons to invest in a Torqit performance exhaust in Australia. From the quality of the units themselves and the innovative way they can be assembled by anybody with a few simple tools to how they change the exhaust’s timbre to sound so satisfying. However, as far as the team is concerned at Torqit, those are just welcome bonuses. The real reason to invest in premium-level exhausts in Australia is to improve the vehicle’s performance, and no one can achieve that better than Torqit with our impressive range of premium exhaust systems.
There are many upgrades for power exhaust systems in Australia, so what makes Torqit 4WD exhausts unique?
A performance exhaust is designed specifically to alter and enhance exhaust performance, positively affecting the power and efficiency of the engine as a result. They achieve this by reducing the back pressure created by exhaust gases and optimising their flow. The effects of installing a high-quality stainless-steel exhaust can be dramatic, and they provide:
From the most durable materials to the simple setup process, explore the many advantages of a Torqit Performance Exhaust.
Thick stainless steel (1.7mm-2mm): This produces a deeper note with no cabin drone. It is also extremely tough to crack.
304 grade stainless steel: This is the best material to use on an exhaust due to its superior strength. It also lasts longer than 409 stainless steel and will not rust.
Full automatic mandrel bent system: Perfect bends every time and easy installation, as the size will always be correct.
Titanium coated dump pipes: These assist with heat dispersion. By keeping a system cooler, the titanium will lengthen its lifespan.
Double braided stainless steel flex bellow: The double braid is twice as reinforced, meaning gas cannot escape. It allows movement on the vehicle's chassis, so the exhaust system will not crack.
High flow diesel catalytic converter: Our diesel specific converter can withstand the pressures and temperatures of a diesel engine. Many companies use a petrol catalytic converter, which will break down over time.
Internal and external welding on all flanges: This increases the strength of welds, making them very difficult to crack.
Bolt together system: Customers have the choice to fit the exhaust themselves or pay for fitting through a local stockist. On average, an exhaust will take 2-3 hours to fit.
10 year product warranty: The unit automatically comes with a warranty that offers customers peace of mind. It also does not void vehicle/factory warranty.
Vehicle suitability: We offer a broad range of turbo back and DPF back systems for most 4WD vehicles.
To comply with Australian emission laws, the majority of late model 4WD’s are fitted with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). A DPF prevents toxic emissions being emitted from the vehicle. As it restricts exhaust flow, it causes a decrease in power and exhaust note.
To receive more power and a better note, some people delete (remove) their DPF. This is illegal and will void warranty and insurance, making the vehicle unroadworthy. If you are found to have a DPF delete, you may be open to thousands of dollars of fines and repairs.
To provide a safe, legal and effective upgrade, Torqit has developed DPF back performance exhausts that can get real power gains and a deeper exhaust note. While there isn’t the power gains associated with a pre DPF system, it improves flow, often helps fuel economy, reduces exhaust gas temperatures (EGT), and looks great! A DPF back exhaust is ideal for towing and off road applications.
* Please be aware any aftermarket accessories such as long range fuel tanks and suspension upgrades need to be taken into consideration before ordering a Torqit exhaust. Please call our head office to discuss a solution for your vehicle.
Our DPF back exhaust systems come standard with a resonator. This aims to increase the noise output of the vehicle, delivering a louder, more aggressive sound. As the DPF is left in place, this makes the vehicle itself much quieter. This system also comes with some of the main features and benefits of the turbo back, including:
Once the internal combustion takes place on an exhaust system, the engine expels exhaust gasses in the form of high pressure pulses. These high pressure pulses create very powerful sound waves. A muffler helps to reduce the sound to a tolerable level.
Turbo back exhaust systems come standard with a muffler, which provides a deep note and reduces/eliminates drone. As the exhaust connects to the back of the turbo, it needs componentry to help ‘muffle’ the sound output so it is tolerable.
Shop nowOur exhausts do not have passivated welds, our systems are already covered by a 10-year warranty, and have been proven to last much longer. On an already premium-priced product, passivating the welds is not required for longevity, and it is not cost-effective for you as a customer.
Yes, it is illegal to modify or remove your vehicle’s DPF. It will void your vehicle insurance and make your vehicle unroadworthy. If your vehicle is found to have a DPF delete, you may be out of pocket thousands of dollars in fines and repair bills. In the event of an accident, you may also be held accountable regardless of who is at fault, as in the eyes of the law, your vehicle should not be on the road.
The key difference between the 304 and 409-grade steel is the percentage of chromium and nickel found in each metal. This changes the strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance. Although both grades can look identical at a glance, 304 is tougher, and better at resisting heat and corrosion than 409-grade steel. Head to the fittings tab on any exhaust product page on www.torqit.com.au, and there you will find our Performance Exhaust Troubleshooting Guide. This covers many FAQs, such as:
316 grade steel is known as a more pure form of stainless steel, however, is not as hard as 304 grade stainless and becomes brittle under heat. This makes 304 grade stainless steel better suited to exhaust systems.
Torqit has partnered with many companies within the 4WD industry to ensure our exhaust systems are compatible with aftermarket upgrades. Examples include JMACX upgrades, Brown Davis and Long Ranger fuel tanks, Norweld trays and canopies, DMW extensions, and TJM and ARB accessories. Yes, a Torqit Performance exhaust will increase the performance of your vehicle, whether it be improved power, torque, exhaust note, and/or fuel efficiency. Please note pre-DPF vehicles will see a more noticeable performance gain than a vehicle fitted with a DPF.
