79 Series DPF-Back Performance Exhausts

A quality exhaust is one of the most practical upgrades you can make to a 79 Series used for towing, touring or off-road work.

Torqit’s DPF-back exhaust systems bolt directly behind the factory diesel particulate filter. By improving the flow of exhaust gases, they can help reduce backpressure and exhaust gas temperatures while producing a deeper, cleaner LandCruiser note.

You can choose from three exhaust configurations for compatible 4.5L V8 DPF Dual Cab models.

3-Inch Single-Exit Exhaust

The 3-inch single-exit exhaust offers a balanced combination of sound, performance and value. It includes a resonator to deepen the exhaust note without creating excessive cabin drone.

This system is well suited to drivers who want a noticeable exhaust upgrade while keeping the setup simple and practical.

3.5-Inch Single-Exit Exhaust

The 3.5-inch single-exit exhaust provides greater flow capacity and a stronger exhaust note. It is a solid choice for heavily loaded touring vehicles and drivers who want a more noticeable sound from their 79 Series.

3.5-Inch Twin-Exit Exhaust

For a more aggressive appearance and a different sound profile, consider the 3.5-inch twin-exit exhaust. The system exits on both sides at the rear and reduces to twin 3-inch tailpipes to retain depth and definition in the exhaust note.

Torqit uses 304-grade stainless steel because it contains more chromium and nickel than lower-grade 409 stainless steel. This provides better corrosion resistance without needing to paint the exhaust to help prevent rust.

Take Control with a 79 Series Throttle Controller

If your LandCruiser feels slow to respond when moving off, overtaking or towing, throttle lag may be part of the problem. A throttle controller changes how quickly the accelerator responds without increasing the engine’s power output.

Pedal Torq

The Pedal Torq is a wired, dash-mounted throttle controller that gives you direct access to Eco, Cruise, Sport, Off-Road and Intelligent modes.

Its adjustable settings allow you to sharpen the response for everyday driving or reduce accelerator sensitivity on loose, rocky and low-traction surfaces. Intelligent mode can also adapt to your driving style over time.

An anti-theft mode immobilises the accelerator until the controller is deactivated, adding another useful layer of security.

Pedal Torq Plus

Pedal Torq Plus adds Bluetooth connectivity and can be controlled through your phone or the dash-mounted unit. It includes Off-Road, Eco, Sport and Sport+ settings, along with Valet mode for reduced accelerator response.

It is a good choice for drivers who want more ways to customise their throttle response or regularly switch between towing, touring and daily driving.

Improve Airflow with a Stainless Steel Snorkel and Airbox

Torqit’s 79 Series snorkel is made from mandrel-bent 304-grade stainless steel and is available in a brushed stainless or powder-coated black finish. The kit includes the required installation hardware and a steel fitting template to help achieve accurate placement.

Pairing the snorkel with a Torqit heavy-duty airbox creates a stronger intake setup. The airbox is 100% dust sealed and uses a larger filter to increase airflow and reduce maintenance requirements.

Its rigid stainless steel construction is designed to resist warping when exposed to heat and harsh conditions. The raised, tapered lid also creates more space for airflow within the airbox.
