Both PedalTorq and PedalTorq Plus have Units that you can mount on the dash to use, or mount more hidden away. They both also offer apps to use on your phone so you can operate the PedalTorq units from your phone
The Pedal Torq is available for most 4WD, ute, SUV, and passenger vehicles manufactured from 2005 onwards. This includes popular models like the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Toyota Landcruiser 300 Series, Isuzu D-MAX, Mitsubishi Triton, and many more. In Economy mode, the Pedal Torq can improve fuel efficiency. When throttle response is delayed, most drivers press harder on the pedal to compensate, which burns more fuel. The Pedal Torq removes that need, giving you cleaner, more efficient acceleration. Sport and Intelligent modes may increase fuel use if you drive more aggressively as a result.
No. The Pedal Torq does not connect to or modify your vehicle’s ECU or computer system. It works by intercepting the signal between your accelerator pedal and the ECU. It does not void your factory warranty.
Intelligent mode monitors how you drive and adjusts the throttle response over time to match your individual style. If you tend to drive smoothly, it softens the response. If you drive more assertively, it sharpens it. The result is a throttle response that feels natural and personalised without you having to manually tune each setting.
Off-Road Mode: Reduces throttle sensitivity to give you finer control at low speeds, which is useful on loose surfaces like sand, gravel and rocky terrain where too much throttle can cause wheel spin. Economy Mode also reduces sensitivity but is tuned for highway and urban cruising to improve fuel efficiency. Off-Road prioritises control, while Economy prioritises efficiency.
Yes. The Pedal Torq is particularly effective for towing because it removes the hesitation that makes heavy-load driving stressful. With faster throttle response, overtaking becomes more confident and maintaining speed on inclines is easier. Economy mode is recommended for smooth, controlled towing. Sport mode is better for shorter bursts of acceleration when you need more urgency.
Yes. The Pedal Torq is designed for both diesel and petrol vehicles and works especially well with diesel 4WDs, which often have the most noticeable throttle lag from the factory due to conservative ECU tuning for emissions compliance. Diesel drivers typically notice the biggest improvement.
Under five minutes. Unplug the factory accelerator connector, plug in the Pedal Torq harness, mount the dash unit in your preferred position, and you are done. No tools required. No cutting or rewiring needed.
